The cross always wins. Jared has the perfect body to survive long-term crucifixion: He is lean and powerful for his weight, with long arms, a muscular torso and massive legs. He is young and extremely fit, but even his physique is no match for the slow, grueling torture of the cross. You can see the pain on his boyish face and the strain in his amazing body. And suddenly it gets much worse. His master slashes his crucified body with the bullwhip, cutting deep welts into his chest and abs. “You are not so cocky now, are you?” the man sneers. “This is who you really are, Jared: a naked boy hanging on the cross, broken and in agony,” he says, and resumes the whipping.
